$6,680,000.00 SINGLE LEVEL FUSION

Our office obtained a verdict in Stanislaus County. Our Partner Kelsey DePaoli along with Co-Counsel spent three weeks fighting for justice in a single level fusion case, and the Jury got it right. It is believed to be one of the largest verdicts for a single level fusion in Northern California. Our team worked this case since 2016 when it was brought on. It was time to get the client the justice she deserved. Pretrial offer was 800k. On the first day of trial, we offered $1,850.000.00 to settle by the end of the day. The following day, they offered $1,000,000.00 and that was rejected. We are proud of the collective efforts done by all to get this right.

Car Accident

$2,550,000.00 BAD FAITH INSURANCE CASE

Our office was involved in obtaining a binding arbitration award of $2,550,000 for our client, in an insurance bad faith case against American Family Insurance. In 2008, our client was rear-ended in a low-speed collision (1-3 mph). Ten months later, she suffered a stroke caused by a carotid artery dissection. We submitted our client’s claim for UIM benefits in 2011, with a life care plan and economists’ report showing future care expenses in excess of policy limits. Instead of paying policy limits, American Family offered $200,000 for our client’s “temporary exacerbation of preexisting conditions.” The arbitrators’ award followed a five day arbitration hearing in Salt Lake City.
